Polyurethane
(PU) was synthesized and developed in Germany about 40 years
ago. It is a leading member of the wide-ranging and highly diverse
family of polymers or ¡®plastics¡¯. Polyurethane can be a solid
or foams and foams can be flexible or rigid. Each form of
polyurethane has many uses. Today, polyurethane (PU) based
plastics hold a predominant position in the plastic market. They
are widely used in daily life. Shoulder pads, suitcases, luggage,
handbags, footwear, furniture, mattresses, cushion mats, filters,
sound insulation, brassiere pads, paint brushes and upholstery are
all made from PU foam plastics. In packing, PU foam products are
used to pack ornaments, jewelries, fruits, machines and electric
parts.
The
opening of new markets and market segments, the ongoing
introduction of new applications and increasing transportation
