Activated carbon is a very mature technology that is designed to remove chlorine, colour, odour, organic elements & pesticide residues by adsorption process. The fruit nutshell (apricot or coconut shell) Granular Activated carbon media provides larger surface area for efficient removal of contaminants at higher flow rates.
Periodic backwashing advised to clean the Granular Activated Carbon for efficient functioning and longer life of media.
Activated carbon filters are available with Automatic and or manual operational features. The tank material includes fibreglass reinforced plastic and stainless steel.
